Why birds?
I’ve traveled across the country speaking to audiences of 400+ answering this exact question.
Birds have been part of my story since I was a kid. My Australian encyclopedia first opened my eyes to the colorful, fascinating world right outside my window. But, it was the American Robin, with its bold hops and early-morning worm chases, that truly captured my heart. Their joy, silliness, and persistence taught me how to embrace life’s quirks and to keep showing up, even when things feel uncertain.
That’s what I share with others through my podcast, content, books, tours, and public speaking: that there is so much joy to be had when we slow down and notice the world around us. Birds remind us to play, to connect, and to celebrate curiosity — one chirp at a time.
I help people rediscover that joy and connection, whether it’s in a city park or through their phone screens.
