The Team Behind the Magic

Meet Steph.
Influencer, Founder, Public Speaker

Birds found me at a time when my life felt like it was unraveling — in the middle of a divorce, while learning to navigate my neurodivergence, and facing an uncertain future that felt overwhelming and disorienting.
What began as a personal source of healing has grown into the work I do today. I share birds, storytelling, and community online, and I speak at conferences, Audubon Society events, and gatherings centered around nature, identity, and connection. I’ve built a community of thousands and led hundreds of people through in-person bird experiences in cities like New York and San Francisco. At the heart of everything I do is a simple intention: to help people feel more present, more connected, and more at home in themselves.

Meet Megan.
Creative Strategist

Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, from 6th grade until I graduated High School, I attended Northwest School of the Arts. After spending 7 years of my life training to be on Broadway, I somehow ended up at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying advertising and public relations. I began to channel my creative energy into graphic design, art direction, and social media management.

After one Zoom call with Steph, I immediately decided to hitch my wagon to the That Quirky Bird Girl train. Steph has done such a wonderful job building a welcoming, educational, and accepting community, and my goal is to help expand it.
