The Metropolitan Museum of Art Scavenger Hunt in NYC

This scavenger hunt is designed to help you slow down, look closer, and discover artwork throughout the museum at your own pace. Whether you’re an art history lover or someone who just wants a new way to experience the museum, this is a playful way to turn your visit into an adventure.

Choose from three different scavenger hunts:

🌏 Asian Art Explore beautiful works from different cultures, time periods, and artistic traditions.

🎨 European Renaissance Discover the stories, details, and symbolism behind some of the most influential works from the Renaissance.

🏰 Pre-1400 European Art Travel back in time and explore artwork from the medieval period and early European history.

Each scavenger hunt will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete (though you are always welcome to go at your own pace!).

This experience includes:

• • A curated scavenger hunt featuring specific artworks to find
• • A printable guide to bring with you into the museum
• • Instructions on how to complete the scavenger hunt
• • A fun way to document your discoveries as you explore

After purchase, you’ll receive an email with everything you need to get started, including your scavenger hunt copy to print, instructions for how to participate, and helpful tips for your museum visit.

• • Print your scavenger hunt before arriving
• • Bring a pen or pencil
• • Bring extra copies if you’re exploring with friends
• • Take a photo of each artwork you find and write down the room number where you found it
